PROJECT DOCUMENTARY

TDR FILMS produced a 4-minute documentary that captures the development of a ceramic foam filter by students from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. This student-initiated project focuses on creating a filter capable of purifying molten aluminum, a critical step in ensuring higher quality in metal casting. With no external funding or major institutional backing, the project stands as a testament to grassroots innovation, driven purely by academic curiosity and engineering ambition.

The film features interviews with the students behind the project, along with input from faculty members and lab supervisors who supported the process. TDR FILMS takes viewers through the full journey—from initial concept and design, to hands-on lab work and prototype testing—shedding light on the learning, trial-and-error, and problem-solving that fueled the project.
