ORYn
Pre-opening, opening night, and paid social films for ORYn’s June 2026 launch in Ubud.
Before opening night: introducing ORYn to Ubud
The challenge
TDR FILMS is the F&B production partner behind the ORYn Ubud restaurant launch video campaign, covering pre-opening content, opening night, and paid social films for the new venue on Monkey Forest Road. This case study helps restaurant owners and hospitality marketers understand how coordinated launch content can build attention before opening and sustain it once reservations begin.
ORYn soft-launched in June 2026 with a concept built around smoke, spice, and spirits. TDR FILMS joined before the doors opened, stayed through the first live service, and created paid Reels designed around the restaurant’s open-fire identity. The campaign’s paid films consistently exceeded 100,000 views and were accompanied by strong website activity during the launch period.
Today, ORYn operates as a polished fire-led restaurant and bar in central Ubud and has been featured among the area’s notable new openings. The practical takeaway is that restaurant launch video performs best when production begins before opening day, not after the early momentum has passed.
One campaign across pre-opening, opening night, and paid social
What we did
Directed by Tristan D. Rama, the ORYn restaurant launch campaign brought together pre-opening production, opening-night coverage, and Reels for social distribution.
ORYn needed audiences to understand the restaurant before the public had experienced it. TDR FILMS planned one connected campaign across three stages: controlled pre-opening production, discreet opening-night coverage, and vertical paid Reels for continued distribution.
The open-fire kitchen became the visual hook. Flame, smoke, warm interiors, cocktails, plating, and service gave the campaign a consistent identity. On opening night, the crew worked from a fixed priority list so it could capture first service, guest reactions, kitchen intensity, and the room filling without interrupting staff or diners.
Launch content built for continued distribution
The results
TDR FILMS treated the project as a launch system rather than a single film. The paid Reels consistently exceeded 100,000 views and supported strong website activity. TDR FILMS does not attribute every reservation to video alone, but the campaign shows how early planning creates reusable assets, a coherent visual identity, and measurable attention.
